Collections

After booking, it is important to think about how your shipment will ship out. For Parcel, Select and Premium shipments, Arta will schedule a carrier to arrive at the origin location and provide arrival dates when as the shipment status updates to ‘Confirmed’.

For locations releasing multiple items at a time, Arta has Managed collections. For every pickup for your organization, Arta will provide a list of scheduled pickups with the carrier and objects to be collected clearly listed.

For Self Ship, you can always drop off labeled packages with the parcel carrier or you can opt to schedule a collection from the dashboard. Our Self Ship collections product lets you select your preferred day and time for a carrier to arrive.

Estimates Overview

Self Ship

For Self Ship you are responsible for releasing the packages to the parcel carrier. You can choose to release packages to carriers during standing pickups or drop off in person, or use our Self Ship collections product to schedule pickups from the origin location.

Our intuitive scheduling tool lets you pick a location and provide any necessary instructions before selecting your preferred collection date and time. Arta will immediately book the carrier for that appointment.

If days or times are not available, it will not be possible to select them. For Second Day Air and Next Day Air shipments, the schedule will only be available for the next day to ensure packages arrive on their schedule. For shipments booked late in the week, we have Saturday collections available to keep your business moving.

You will be able to view all of your upcoming collections from the Dashboard.

Managed

For Parcel, Select and Premium shipments, objects will be collected by carriers from your location. When you are releasing multiple shipments every day it can get complicated to keep track of who is picking up, what they are picking up and when they will arrive.

Arta Carriers share digital access to the same collection list you see in your dashboard. Both sides can make real-time edits of what is ready for release and what is collected.

How it works

  1. See all upcoming collections in the Dashboard which can be filtered by carrier, location, date and manifest status.
  2. Get notified via email of collections happening 2 days in advance by subscribing to or setting up an Inbox notification for Collections Update.
  3. Add Hold to Collect on any shipment that is not ready to release. Items not collected will get added to the next manifest automatically.
  4. The day before collection the manifest is Locked and no new shipments will be added to give you time to prep the objects.

To still receive individual notifications for each shipment, leave on Collection Scheduled email rules or Schedule Update notifications.
